UNPARTY is a platform that I needed when I was starting over and was unsure what direction I wanted to go in. I filled countless notebooks and notes apps with journals, ideas, and thoughts that on a good day made me feel like anything was possible. Even on days where my mind seemed a bit lost in space, writing about my fears, shortcomings, and everything in between provided me with a release and helped me keep my feet on the ground.
For me, connecting to my next steps after never really finding the first one, at times felt crushing. It felt like if I walked into any room, that I just did not belong. How could that be? Why in this age of there being an app for everything, was it so hard to find a place to just be me without all the likes, comments, and the pressure to be whatever version of myself I was when I made these connections.
I remember being a kid and having this large Muhammad Ali poster above my dresser with the words "Impossible Is Nothing" written in the center. There was a sense of freedom when I would stare at that poster that allowed my thoughts to roam freely, with no limitations on what I could build or who I could be. That feeling of freedom seemed to cure whatever loneliness I felt as a kid and now as an adult who was experiencing a more hopeless feeling, I greatly longed for that limitless imagination once again.
That longing was the driving force to build UNPARTY. A space to build, create, and explore everything that makes me, me, without anyone telling me I couldn't be. An app to share my thoughts, my own way, and on my own time. A next-step-builder that allows me to find and develop ideas that excite me until they don't and then do again.
A dynamic idea builder like UNPARTY was a very big goal. I had no intention of building this beta version by myself. In fact, the same problem I was building UNPARTY to address, became the hurdles I would have to overcome. The most consistent aspect of UNPARTY has been to provide a starting place for anyone with an idea to start somewhere, regardless of capital, skills, and network.
As I met with people to get UNPARTY built, it became clear to me that this problem was much more pronounced that I had originally thought. There was no shortage of ideas or people bold enough to build them, we have just made it too expensive to build, create, and ideate until it becomes a good one.
UNPARTY is a playground for idea development.
As UNPARTY heads into its next steps, I would like to invite you to the private beta to grow together.
Start with an idea, journal, or thought, and as you build through tasks, developing concepts, and exploring UNPARTY's experimental chat that puts you in control of your own AI assistant - watch your idea go from a problem to a solution, that you can share when you are ready.
If you are looking for a fully polished, tension free platform - well, UNPARTY is probably not for you at this time.
If you are creative, resilient, and ready to build your imagination without limitations - I am looking forward to seeing what you create, whenever and however you share.
UNPARTY,
Justin
