Frustration
UNPARTY is a web and mobile app concept for solopreneurs and non-technical founders seeking simple, effective tools to bring ideas to life without the technical barriers.
Perhaps it was a stroke of hubris that made me feel like I could start a business based solely on an idea. No plan, no connections, no technical skills—just an impulsive thought: “If I don’t build this now, I’ll regret it for the rest of my life.”
UNPARTY began as an idea for a career search engine that would recommend jobs to users based not only on their experience but also on how they interacted with the app’s interface. This idea demanded a level of skill I didn’t have yet. Never one to backdown from a challenge, I began a research and prototyping journey that would define the next four years of my life. Looking back, it now feels like a no-brainer, even though life and my ideas kept leading me in very different directions.
Frustration as a starting point.
I needed a way to build my idea into a web and mobile app that could connect users to their next steps.
I tried no-code/low-code platforms, productivity tools marketed to solopreneurs, even agencies that promised unlimited high-quality deliverables. Yes, I went into this project a bit naive.
Each time I thought, “Yes, I’ve found the right platform for UNPARTY,” it quickly became clear that I was adapting my project to fit their platform, rather than finding a platform that fit my idea.
In this ideation period, I found myself facing the exact problem UNPARTY was meant to address: How does a solopreneur with limited capital, no network, and no technical expertise take the next step? I was determined to create a platform that could meaningfully connect people to their ideas, providing real tools to overcome these common barriers.
• Core Idea: The initial drive to create UNPARTY came from deep frustration with a tech landscape that felt inaccessible or even predatory for non-technical founders or those just starting out .
• Context: This value represents the starting point—seeing an unmet need and wanting to challenge a system that serves platforms over people.
